Teens Against Violence (TAV)

Teen Focus - Television show where teens talk about issue that directly effect them such as gang violence, gun violence, dating abuse
Advocating - Teens will become a advocate for other teens in the community.
Volunteering - Teens will volunteer with the Organization to help with fundraiser, newsletters, walkathons and more.

Our program offers 6-week violence prevention workshops followed by the opportunity to go into our 8-week internship where they will work with the Organization and learn career development, college prep and more.

1st week - Teen Violence Prevention
2nd week - Gun Violence
3rd week - Gang Violence
4th week - Family Dating part 1
5th week - Family Dating Part 2
6th week - Connection between Alcohol and Drug Abuse

We believe the program is successful because:
a. dedication is giving to each youth with a altenative approach to violence and better opportunity is offered.
b. Ability to relate to each individual
c. Link teens with local agancies if neccessary
d. Provide positive peer role models
e. Provide a caring, understanding and apethetic staff
