Why Do You Deny Me

by
Chaujetha Brown

You say you will be there
I wait
While I'm waiting she's doing my hair
She tells me not to hope

You call later and say
'Honey i want be able to make it"

Something wet rolls down my face
She repeats, "i told you, not to hope"

You say you want to be in my life
But you cut me with a knife

I am butter. i cut so easily
You're a hurricane saying "How can i ruin her today?"

Life without you is so better

My heart is warm now
I call it joy
You're not a part of it either

Was it your priority to hurt me
I've cried
Ruin me?

Once again i say life without you is so much better.
