You Have to Focus

You have to focus…

On your center, your heart, your focal point, your spotlight, and your object of attention because it’s so effortless to get diverted into entertaining company who doesn’t have your best interest in mind.

That boy or girl who you think is so fine, may be dealing with eight different people at a time, getting ready to make you number nine; so physically and emotionally always protect yourself and don’t let 20 minutes of pleasure ruin your health.

You have to focus…

You have to make choices. I’m sure you can think of ten other things you’d rather do besides study but trust me the ones who try to distract you aren’t your buddy. Have you ever realized that other people despise every gift you have? They want you to fail like they have, and drag you on a trip to nowhere…broke, stuck, and upset. Then you will be asking yourself, “Why didn’t I just stay home and study for that test?”

You have to focus…

Of course there is alcohol and drugs. At one point you just want to know how it feels to have a buzz. You want to feel higher than Snoop Dog, so you can fit in with all your dogs. Better believe you’d be amazed, being high while you study or take a test, doesn’t give you higher grades! Trust me I’ve tried it, then you get caught up with the dude who supplied it, they got you making drops across town, just so you can say you’re down?? I tell you stop that right now because being at the wrong place at the wrong time can get you locked up or much worse popped up!

You have to focus…

Pick something far in your future that you have to see done, put it on an index card carry it with you every where you go, and if a decision or action is going to stop your goal take out your card, look at it and then decided NO!

I know it sounds real simple and sweet and easy to live the life of Weezy, and ladies Beyonce lives in a fantasy world, you don’t have to be a diva to be a hustler…because he’s not always going to put a ring on it, and everyone doesn’t have a gift to get a track and sing on it.

So I’m telling you now be the best you can be, and NEVER LOSE FOCUS!
